Dudley Safeguarding People Partnership

Welcome to The Dudley Safeguarding People Partnership

Dudley Safeguarding People Partnership (DSPP) is responsible for making sure children, young people and adults are kept safe in the borough. DSPP work with relevant agencies to improve local safeguarding arrangements and hold each other to account in order to protect Dudley’s most vulnerable people.

This website brings together information for children, young people, adults and their families; and professionals and volunteers who work with them.

Legislation underpinning the DSPP

Our work is underpinned by statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children, the Children and Social Work Act 2017 and the Care Act 2014

DSPP Priorities

Three safeguarding priorities have been identified for 2024-2026:

  • Mental Health of Children, Young People and Adults with care and support needs, including the impact of parental mental health
  • Transitional Safeguarding
  • Exploitation
