Meetings

The DSPP Executive have reviewed the existing meeting structure in Dudley and will build on the identified strengths. Central to this is the Executive as the statutory partners for DSPP.

Recognising that, through the Children and Social Work Act (2017) and the Care Act (2014), there is a range of legislation that dictates specific functions to be exercised, the arrangements in Dudley see two specific partnership groups for adults and children, the Dudley Safeguarding Adults Board (DSAB) and the Dudley Safeguarding Children Partnership Group (DSCPG).

Alongside this are the core business areas of DSPP, Quality Assurance & Performance and Learning & Improvement. Sitting in the wider partnership are working groups that focus on the priorities of DSPP; Neglect, Exploitation and Think Family. A training hub consisting of agencies as appropriate will work together to ensure expertise is shared across the Partnership.

The group with delegated strategic responsibilities to oversee the safeguarding arrangements, hold partners to account, and scrutinise arrangements for adult and children safeguarding through a single lens.
