DSPP Launch the All Age Exploitation Screening Tool

Date: Monday, 25th Nov 2024 | Category: Adults, Children

Today DSPP is excited to launch its All Age Exploitation Screening Tool for practitioners working with adults or children in Dudley

The screening tool is designed to support staff to determine whether an individual (child, young person or adult) is potentially being exploited or groomed for exploitation. The tool should be completed when practitioners have concerns that there is a risk of exploitation, or have spotted some signs of exploitation. Where possible, the screening tool should be completed in partnership with the individual it concerns & where appropriate their parent/carer’s.

To support practitioners, we have developed a number of resources including Podcasts on the referral pathways which can be accessed below:

Podcast – Children’s Pathway

Any child or young person in Dudley who has an emerging or experiencing risk of exploitation, can be referred to the front door. Likewise, potential perpetrators of exploitation, or places where exploitation is suspected to take place, can be referred for consideration of intervention, prevention, or disruption activity.
